College Station, TX (April 17, 2012) The United Way of the Brazos Valley Board of Directors announced Bob Fleischer has been hired as the Interim President and CEO. Bob brings more than 17 years of United Way experience to this local organization. In 1981, Bob was hired as the first paid full-time Executive Director at United Way and remained in that position until he retired in 1998.

“United Way’s Board of Directors is very excited to bring Bob on board to provide stability and leadership to our organization,” said Ken Fogle, United Way of the Brazos Valley’s Board Chair. “We are extremely fortunate that he was both available and willing to step into this important role.”

“I am looking forward to providing United Way interim leadership during this time of transition,” said Bob Fleisher, Interim President and CEO United Way of the Brazos Valley. “This community and organization are very important to me.”

Bob is also currently involved with the Brazos Valley Chorale, College Station Noon Lions Club, and Peace Lutheran Church. He and his wife, Ann, have lived in Bryan for 34 years.

The United Way Board of Directors is continuing the search for a permanent President and CEO who will continue to strengthen trust with the community and work with partners to lead this organization to the next level.
