Victim Critical After Shooting in College Station

The College Station Police Department are investigating a shooting that took place just before 2:30 a.m. Friday in the 3400 block of Wildrye Drive.

Officers arrived on scene after reports of a gunshot victim.

They found the victim with a gunshot to the abdomen. Police later said the shot was self-inflicted, though it was not immediately clear whether the shooting was accidental or intentional.

The victim was transported to the College Station Medical Center in critical condition.

A name has not been released.
