Victims in Deadly Grimes County Wreck Were CS Residents

Authorities have identified the victims in a deadly accident in Grimes County Saturday night.

According to DPS, Joseph Tyree Sneed IV, 55, and Lan Thikim Hoang, 46, were both killed when the car Sneed was driving pulled out in front of another vehicle.

The accident happened Saturday around 10:00 p.m. where FM 2 intersects with Highway 6 near Navasota. After being hit, Sneed and Hoang's car flipped several times and landed in the median. The two College Station residents died at the scene.

The driver of the other car, Laura Michelle Slanton of Navasota, did not suffer major injuries.

Sneed was not wearing a seat belt, according to DPS. Hoang was wearing one.
