Volunteers prepared, served and delivered free Thanksgiving dinners in Bryan.

At Epicures Catering, volunteers serve up meals in boxes. The garage is set up like a drive thru where volunteers pull up for the boxes to be loaded up in vehicles and delivered.

The Winkles make volunteering a family affair.

"It's always great just to walk into a family and just be with them. And to experience part of their life and share Thanksgiving with them," said Ben Winkle.

Hundreds of people are able to enjoy a home cooked meal due to volunteers who say they worked hard to make today special.

At Twin City Mission, volunteers fill plates with turkey, stuffing, green beans, rolls and more.

"I'm just so happy that we can help people anyway we can give people food so they don't have to spend Thanksgiving hungry," said Ethan Cohen

And at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, some say it feels like home.

"Well I don't have to be at home. I don't have to cook it. It's beautiful, what they put on here is beautiful, " said R.J. Lamond.

As people come together to eat and fellowship,Thanksgiving is a day to be thankful for.
