A Thanksgiving Eve traffic stop in Walker County landed a Houston man in jail on drug related charges. Ainslie Leslie, 40, was pulled over around 7 a.m. for failing to yield the right-of-way.

As Walker County Sheriff's deputy, Jon Beeman approached Leslie's Nissan Altima, officials say a strong smell of marijuana was evident. During a search of the car, the narcotics officer and drug dog, Akie, discovered and seized more than 240 pounds of pot and $12,300 in cash. Leslie's vehicle was also confiscated.

Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae says Leslie was booked into the Walker County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and money laundering.

After posting a $125,000 bond on Thanksgiving Day, Leslie was released.
