Wednesday's Child: Brynika

Updated: Thu 10:34 PM, Feb 07, 2013

She's a representative of her fourth grade class and she’s already proving she’s more than a leader. Her name is Brynika -- and not only is she beautiful, smart and driven -- she's a girly girl with a heart of gold.

Getting dolled up, pampered and treated like a princes is something every little girl enjoys doing -- especially when you're ten years old -- and your name is Brynika.

"I love dress up," she said.

We took a trip to Party Palace in College Station and although shy at first, once Justin Bieber came into the picture -- she overcame a little stage fright and began belting out some tunes.

Brynika is soft spoken; she's coy but compassionate, and she exudes a passion for life unlike any ten-year-old I've ever met. She enjoys dancing, cheerleading and gymnastics.

“It's kind of like dancing...it's just really a fun sport and you just get to have fun with I,” said Brynika.
This fourth grader loves reading, writing.

“I like to read and write for fun, mostly creative writing,” she added.

When she's not doing homework, day-dreaming of one day becoming a teacher; Brynika says she catching up on her favorite movies.

“My favorite movie is, ‘The Odd Life of Timothy Green,’ ” she said.

“Our kid would never give up,” said Jim Green, the character in the movie played by Joel Edgerton.

{The Odd Life of Timothy Green is a movie starring Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton. They play Cindy and Jim Green in the movie and according to the trailer, “They’re a childless couple who bury a box in their backyard, containing all of their wishes for an infant. Soon, a child is born, though Timothy Green is not all that he appears.” }

Brynika isn't giving up either. She's determined to find a forever family. Brynika has three brothers and says it would be a dream come true if they could stick together.

“Because I'm the big sister and I'm supposed to take care of them,” said Brynika. “But mainly, because sometimes in life they'll have struggles and I can bring them back up.”

She's not only determined, she's excited and hopeful about finding a forever family who will stick with her through thick and thin and who will for once, find a permanent place in their heart for her.

According to Byrnika’s social worker: “Brynika is excited about a forever family. Because of Brynika's history she needs a family that is understanding of her past and willing to work with her on her behaviors. Brynika is making progress in therapy, however she will need a loving, structured home and parents that provide consistent discipline and support. Brynika would like a mother and a father. She is open to their being other children in the home and she likes pets.”
