Welsh Avenue Closure for Culvert Repair

COLLEGE STATION - A portion of Welsh Avenue is expected to remain closed to traffic until at least Friday.

Earlier today, a culvert collapsed near A&M Consolidated High School, requiring the street to be closed for repairs. No one was injured.

A new culvert is expected to be installed Thursday and the roadway repaved on Friday. Until the work is complete, the 2100 block of Welsh Avenue will remain closed (see attached map). This still allows College Station ISD employees to access the high school.

Message boards will help detour traffic around the construction area.
