The family of fallen Brazos County Pct. 1 Constable Brian Bachmann will be honored this week for his involvement in Little League and the baseball community.

His wife Donna will throw out the first pitch at Friday's Texas A&M baseball game on opening night against Illinois-Chicago at Blue Bell Park. Bachmann was killed in a shootout while on duty on Aug. 13, 2012 while delivering an eviction notice.

Texas A&M Head Baseball Coach Rob Childress described Bachmann as being "intertwined" in the local baseball community, and a big part of the Little League board.

Friday's game features the Aggies against the Flames and starts at 6:35 pm. at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
