A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for Milam, Robertson, Lee, and Leon Counties from 12am to 12pm THURSDAY. A strong cold front will reach the Brazos Valley by mid-afternoon to early evening TODAY. Mild temperatures are expected to sharply fall as strong, brisk north winds arrive. A scattered rain chance could turn into a scattered, wintry mix between 6am and Noon Thursday. Little-to-no accumulation is expected -- however, caution is urged driving on bridges and overpasses.
TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY - A country music and Texas icon will make an appearance as part of the upcoming MSC OPAS schedule.
Sunday, OPAS announced that Willie Nelson & Family will be on the Rudder Auditorium stage on Texas A&M's campus on Monday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m.
The schedule for the 42nd season of OPAS was announced on KBTX in April, but included a mystery event.
“Willie Nelson is a living legend," said MSC OPAS Executive Director Anne Black in a statement about the now-revealed mystery. "We are terribly excited to add this concert featuring Willie and his talented family to our season. Everyone loves Willie and the music he has created throughout his remarkable career. We expect demand for tickets to this one-night-only engagement will be very high.”
Later this month, Main Stage season ticket holders will be contacted and then have the first chance to buy tickets to see Nelson. The remaining tickets will be on sale at 10:00 a.m. on September 5.
Tickets will be available through the MSC Box Office or at the OPAS website. Prices will range from $30 to $150.
