According to Bryan Police, Kwajuana Johnson, 30 of Bryan was arrested at a night club early Sunday morning after assaulting several people; after Johnson is detained, she kicked a police officer in the mouth.
Officers responded to a call at Club Nice in the 1500 Block of W. William Joel Bryan around 1:30 a.m. Sunday after reports of a woman assaulting several people. According to the police report, when officers arrived, they witnessed Johnson actively assaulting a male; another male approached police to say she had also assaulted him. Officers said Johnson then began assaulting the man speaking with police.
Police said Johnson was taken into custody minutes later. The report indicated Johnson did not comply with authorities and would not provide her name or identity; she only responded with profanity and continued to yell at the officers. Once she was put inside the police vehicle, police said Johnson began violently kicking the window.
When the officer opened the door, police said Johnson violently kicked the officer in the mouth, causing sharp pain to his lip. Another officer assisted him and grabbed Johnson's ankles and put hobbles on her feet to prevent her from injuring others.
Johnson was arrested for: Assault Public Servant, Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport, Fail to Identify-Refuse Information, Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct by Language.
She was released to jail staff. Her identity was eventually determined through family members, which was confirmed by a photograph from a prior arrest.
