A woman has been found stabbed to death in her Houston-area home and police detained her 15-year-old son for questioning.
San Jacinto police located the body early Wednesday after someone in the house called 911.
Police Chief Joe Ayala says five family members were home at the time of the attack and one person made a statement that he had stabbed the woman.
Nobody was immediately charged. Police are trying to determine what prompted the stabbing. The police chief says a knife was recovered at the scene.
Authorities didn't immediately release the victim's name or further details on the investigation.
Jacinto City is just east of Houston.
