Woman Wanted for Murder in Corpus Christi Arrested in Brazos County

A U.S. Marshal picked up 55-year-old Donna Taylor in Brazos County for murder warrants out of Corpus Christi.

As Taylor was being processed into the Brazos County jail, a female officer located a glass tube in her bra. A strip search further revealed two bags that contained a crystal-like substance. The substance in the bags, weighing 20.0 grams, tested positive for methamphetamine. A small bag was also located inside the glass tube containing the same substance with an approximately weight of 0.5 grams.

According to reports, Taylor's arrest follows a January 16th shooting in Corpus Christi that killed 55-year-old Floyd Scroggin.

Detectives questioned Taylor who was the only other occupant in the home at the time of the shooting. After a thorough investigation, Homicide Detectives were able to gather evidence and obtain a Murder warrant for Taylor.

Taylor remains in the Brazos County Jail on $212,000 bond.
