Students at Brenham I.S.D. were inspired by one of NASA's finest on Tuesday.

Astronaut John "Danny" Olivas spoke to members of the district's "Challenging Scientific Investigation" Team about the importance of their work.

The team consists of 300 students from grades 4-12. Following his presentation, Olivas took part in a question and answer session and told students that no dream is too small and encouraged them to reach for the stars.

Olivas wrapped up his day in Brenham by speaking to the Rotary Club.

On Saturday, a veteran of five space flights, Astronaut Scott Parazynski will address the Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce at its annual banquet, where he'll recount his personal story of becoming an astronaut and talk about his latest mission onboard the International Space Station where he helped to make needed repairs.
