Police are investigating eight home burglaries that took place this weekend in north College Station around Holleman Drive. According to residents we spoke to, home burglaries seem to be coming more common in the area.
"I feel like its not safe," says Conswella Ross, a neighbor of the latest victims. Ross says she too has been a victim herself.
"We came home and there was nothing the TV was gone," Ross says.
Surveillance camera's were not enough to discourage criminals from breaking into three houses on this block.
Lt. Mike Pavelka says, " People are seeking high-end items. A lot of time they are seeking electronics. That's why we encourage people to record their serial numbers."
If recovered those serial numbers help police get items back to the rightful owner. For burglary victims, it's hard to fathom the idea of someone stealing their property.
"Its something you work hard for and people take it away, " say Ross.
Officers say keep doors and windows locked and report any suspicious behavior in your neighborhood immediately.
