Myanmar says ethnic rebels kill 7 in ambush.

YANGON, Myanmar (AP) - State media in Myanmar say rebels in the
northeast ambushed a car carrying workers from a Chinese-backed
hydroelectric power project, killing seven people.
The government-owned Myanma Ahlin daily newspaper says ethnic
Kachin rebels attacked the vehicle Tuesday near the Tarpein power
plant.
The report published Friday said the vehicle was carrying three
technicians from the project as well as police to the town of
Moemauk.
The newspaper says one policeman survived the ambush and the
rest of those in the vehicle were killed.
Rebels could not be reached for comment. But the website of the
