A Bryan student is getting a chance of a lifetime.

Jacee Wren, an 8th grader at Sam Rayburn Middle School, has been invited to attend Barack Obama's Inauguration.

Wren will be representing the twin cities at the Junior Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference in the nation's capitol, which gives students across the United States a better understanding of the electoral process and the rich traditions surrounding the presidential inauguration.

"I think its really exciting, I can't wait," Wren said. "I'm probably going to take so many pictures and probably come back and show my friends. I think it's going to be really fun.

Wren was nominated by her social studies teacher to attend the five day conference, where she'll also have an opportunity to meet with white house officials and congressional staff members, as well as tour historic sites.

You can find out more about the conference by clicking on the link below.

Also, if you're attending the presidential inauguration, we want to know about it. You can email us at news@kbtx.com.

I think its pretty sad that some of you are so bitter to say this student isn't being offered a chance in a lifetime. I understand some of you don't like Obama but this student might admire Obama. If you were offered a chance to see an inauguration of a president you admired, wouldn't you feel it was a chance of a lifetime? Even if the student doesn't like him, how many of you can say you have met a president you did or didn't like?

why cant you believe OBAMA is our president? he has been elected by the majority and whether you like it or not, he is the man. hopefully you'll support him, but if not, it won't matter. he has my full support along with all those who elected him. it's really true so believe it.

So this will be the "chance of a lifetime." It's a chance of a lifetime alright. It's the chance to see the coronation of the man and Congress that will utterly destroy this country as we know it. Look back throughout history at countries run by socialists and you will see where Obama and his soldiers will be taking the United States of America. It's not a pretty sight.
