Local Attorney Excited Over Inauguration Save Email Print

For one Brazos County attorney and his family, attending next week's inauguration is a dream come true.

Patrick Gendron and his wife Alma were Barack Obama delegates at the State Democratic Convention this year. He says while working on the Obama campaign, he was impressed at how the candidate brought people together. Now he looks forward to sharing this special time with some of them.

"This is a celebration of all the hard work," said Gendron. "It's the culmination of all the hard work with everybody in this county and other counties and other states that worked on the campaign."

As an added bonus, Gendron's brother-in-law, who's with the Brazos County Sheriff's Office, will also be at the inauguration as part of the security detail.

to Joe B.....do your homework before going off on people, Gendron is not even close to being an ambulance chaser....To the Gendron's...Hope you have a safe and memorable trip.

Obama spent record amounts of money on is presidential campaign, record amounts on his inauguration and will spend record amounts of your tax dollars on people here and around the world. To my "Friend of Freedom", you are right, this is America. Which is why I oppose Obama's Marxist/Communist policies.

While I did not vote for Mr. Obama, much due to his inexperience and the Clinton influence, he is our president now and deserves our respect. Respect the office if you can't respect the man. Having said that-HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HAVING THE MOST EXPENSIVE INAUGURATION IN HISTORY! BY SOME ESTIMATES $200MILLION! While his fellow Americans are being tossed in the streets, our elderly cannot get quality medications or our children health care-the economy in shambles-WE ARE THROWING A BIG OLE PARTY! And who is writing the check? WE ARE-those of us who pay taxes. There should be an outcry of disgust over this. Barak Obama-learn this-the buck stops with you now...The "I wasn't aware" dodge is not going to work. How many homes could have been saved or children fed for $200million dollars?! This is change we can do without.

How curious it is to find so many people of a free nation spewing such ignorant, bias, pre-concieved remarks toward an individual who has not even served one day in office. Is it that you are only loyal and dedicated to a political party? As Thomas Jefferson so wisely said "I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever, in religion, in philosophy, in politics or in anything else, where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent. If I could not go to Heaven but with a party, I would not go there at all" AND...do you recall this? "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness". Enlighten yourself...cast out the bias and prejudice...this is America.

I am a Proud Obama supporter!! I work 0ver 65hrs a week and NEVER in the 15yrs of my job have taken a day off!! All this negativity nauseates me!! It's just so sad to see people so full of hate! Just Sad!

Congrats! That's awesome! It's an honor to be a part of history!! Ignore all the "hateration!!" Fried chicken sounds great compared to the ham and cheese sandwiches Bush served! :)
