America's 44th president was sworn in on Monday and millions make their way to Washington, D.C. to witness history and among the masses were dozens of Brazos Valley residents.

Througout the day, News 3 spoke with some from the area who shared some of their experiences with us.

RESPECT....I don't recall Bush getting the RESPECT that he deserved. What about the chant at the inauguration. That was not respect or class. Time will tell.

This just wasn't your typical inauguration. This made history and it would be nice to just respect everyone's thoughts and feelings on this without being bias. We respected the last 43 presidents and there wasn't any qualm. Let's for once enjoy the excitement of an African American finally getting his opportunity to lead as Commander and Chief :)
