Over the past 25 years, David and Julia Gardner have built Gardner's Jewelers into a booming business. Now they're sharing the fruits of their success with the community.
David Gardner's "Big Give" was unveiled Wednesday with the Gardner's making a start-up donation of $25,000. The money will be used to address local community needs by taking the initial 25-thousand and multiplying it to make a difference. It will then be used to fund charitable causes while recognizing unsung heroes.
"What we're hoping is that new fundraising ideas will come out of this and that people will get together and get creative and be inspired by the people or the organization that they are fundraising for," said Julia Gardner.
Applications for the "Big Give" are now available at David Gardner's Jewelers.
