Local Bank Owner Sponsors Third Home

It may have been a chilly Saturday morning, but that couldn’t keep the smile off Shamone Green’s face.

Green, along with her two daughters, received the keys to their new house, which was sponsored by Don and Donna Adam.

As part of the Habitat For Humanity program, the Green family received their house through 500 hours of sweat equity, and will have to repay a no-profit mortgage over a 30-year period.

It is the third Habitat home sponsored by Mr. Adam and his wife. Adam recently announced the opening of American Momentum Bank, which is Adam’s first bank to open in the Brazos Valley since he sold First American Bank to Citibank in 2005.
