Brazos Valley Community Action Agency, Inc. (BVCAA) announced today it received a grant for $10,000 from the Esther McCulloch and Pauline McCulloch Grant Foundation. The funds were donated for BVCAA’s oral healthcare program.
BVCAA’s dental program is part of the comprehensive services offered by the BVCAA Community Health Centers. Services offered by the dental clinics include oral examinations, x-rays, extractions, fillings, cleaning and sealants. Through these clinics and the grants made possible by the Dansby Grant Foundation and those like them, affordable and accessible dental care is available to those who need it.
Regarding the grant, Vishal Kinra, BVCAA Program Administrator, said, “We are so grateful to The Dansby Grant Foundation. Their generosity is far reaching throughout our community and we are thrilled and honored to be considered as worthy recipients of their funds. The money they donated will help countless people in our community receive dental care for which they might otherwise not have had access.”
The dental program at BVCAA has grown immeasurably over the past 9 years. What began as a volunteer driven part-time clinic has now expanded to a full-time, paid-provider service offering high quality dental care to those who are uninsured and underinsured in the Brazos Valley.
