The results are in, and Mid South Synergy scored very well in the most recent American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), the most recognized consumer satisfaction index in the United States.
To maintain our unmatched service in the local electric utility market, Mid South Synergy regularly surveys its members to gauge their perception so improvements can be made striving to exceed their expectations. Unlike traditional surveys that only allow you to benchmark against your own past performance; the ACSI survey compares Mid South Synergy with the entire national utility industry including other Touchstone Energy Cooperatives and “for profit” utilities like Entergy and Reliant. The fact that we’re locally owned and responsive to our members—committed to providing quality service—is paying off in customer satisfaction.
Mid South Synergy’s ACSI score is 82, which is one point higher than the national average for the 680 Touchstone Energy Cooperatives combined (81). In addition, Mid South’s score of 82 is a full eight points higher than the national average for the entire utility industry, which had a significantly lower ACSI score of 74. On a more local level, Entergy scored 75, seven points lower than Mid South Synergy.
“Our employees make a difference everyday,” says Kerry Kelton, General Manager and CEO of Mid South Synergy. “We’re very pleased with our score and appreciate every employee’s contributions to providing such excellent service to our member-owners. It is their commitment to Mid South Synergy and its member-owners that distinguishes Mid South Synergy from other utilities. We’re very proud of them and the work they do everyday in providing service to keep the lights on.” Electric cooperatives’ primary goal is to serve their members, and the ACSI scores show that we’re obviously doing something right.”
