Proceeds from the Blinn Buccaneers scrimmage on Saturday with the Monterrey Prep (Mexico) Rams will go to the Blinn College-Brenham Campus Lions Club and benefit the local community. For a dollar, fans can see the 2009 version of the Blinn team that is ranked fifth in the preseason NJCAA poll. No passes will be accepted.

The first half of the scrimmage will be offense vs. defense with a timed scrimmage for the second half. Gates will open at 10 a.m. with the scrimmage starting at 11 a.m. No video recording will be allowed.

The Bucs will open the season on Aug. 29 at 4 p.m. hosting top ranked and defending national champion Butler Community College. In 2008, Butler was also ranked No. 1 and lost in the opening game to Blinn in Kansas.
