The City of College Station’s Purchasing Division has earned the 14th Annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award for 2009. College Station is one of only 59 cities in the US and one of 28
government agencies in Texas receiving the award. The City has been the recipient for 13 out of the 14 years it has been presented.
The award is presented by a consortium of state and national organizations including the National Purchasing Institute (NPI) and the Texas Public Purchasing Association (TxPPA) to those who
demonstrate excellence in procurement by obtaining a high score on a rating of standardized criteria. The program is designed to measure innovation, professionalism, e‐procurement, productivity, and
leadership attributes of the procurement function.
