The Brazos Valley African American Museum will celebrate the opening of an exhibit on Sunday, October 11, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a reception. The exhibit will feature "Black Owned Businesses" of old downtown Bryan. Pictures, documents and some artifacts will be on display.

Refreshments will be served. The exhibit will be on display October-December 2009, in the Changing Gallery of the museum.
