Teresa Benden has been named the Director of the College Station Independent School District Education Foundation, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Eddie Coulson announced today.
“Teresa is a great addition to CSISD and its Education Foundation,” Coulson said. “She has a tremendous commitment to the school district and this community, and I look forward to her leadership.”
Along with serving as an ambassador for the Bryan College Station Chamber of Commerce, Benden has extensive experience in the fundraising arena. She has served stints with the Texas A&M Foundation and the Development Office for the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Most recently, Benden served as an account manager for Vanguard Environments, a commercial furniture dealer.
The CSISD Education Foundation is a non-profit organization created by a group of local business and community leaders. The Foundation receives tax-exempt donations from individuals and firms to benefit CSISD students and staff by supporting educational activities not funded by tax dollars.
Benden begins her duties October 19, and will be replacing Ann Ganter, who is retiring after more than 24 years of service with the district.
