Five A&M Consolidated High School seniors were recently named 2009-2010 National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP) Scholars.
Julio Bernal, Luis Miranda, Andrew Morris, Adrian Ortega and Eunice Quiroga were recognized along with nearly 5,000 other students from a pool of more than 200,000 high school juniors who took the 2008 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test and identified themselves as being Hispanic/Latino.
Students recognized by the NHRP are Hispanic/Latino and have achieved a minimum PSAT/NMSQT score for their region. In addition to the test score, the student must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale to be named a NHRP Scholar.
