The Brazos Valley Food Bank is hosting its 7th annual 'Empty Bowls' event this Saturday, November 10.
The event goes from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The Frame Gallery, located at 216 N. Bryan Avenue in Bryan.
With a donation of at least 15 dollars, you can choose one of several ceramic bowls created by potters and artists from across the Brazos Valley and be served a simple meal consisting of soup, bread, and water. After the meal, you are able to keep the bowl.
Individual potters and artists creating the bowls include U-Paint-It, Mud Creek Pottery, Joy Pottery, Living Water Pottery, and Bluebonnet Pottery.
Soup and bread will be donated by local restaurants including Madden's Village Cafe, Cafe Capri, Must Be Heaven, Lemon Wedge, and the Brazos Valley Farmer's Market.
There will also be music at the event performed by Joey McGee, ContraDiction, and others.
For more information on the event, contact Greta Watkins at 979-822-0496.
