James Edward Crenshaw, 58, of Bryan, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Joseph Regional Health Care Center. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Daniel & Son Funeral Home in Bryan.





Services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony L. Ross Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.





James Edward Crenshaw was born in Bryan on November 24, 1953 to Herman and Deoliver Crenshaw. He graduated the class of 1972 from Bryan High School before serving two years in the U.S. Air Force. Known as a "Jack of all trades", James specialized in A/C & Refrigeration.





He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Crenshaw; brother, Clarence Crenshaw; daughter-in-law, Renique Green; and brother-in-law, Stanley Palm.





Survivors include his wife, Beverly Faye Crenshaw; sons, James Crenshaw Jr. and wife, Telisha, and Byron Green; daughter, Katina Younger and husband Chris; his mother, Deoliver Crenshaw; and stepfather Steven Sweed; brothers, Herman Crenshaw Jr., Alfred Crenshaw and wife Cecil, Eulisis Cary, Reginald Crenshaw, Steven Sweed and wife Nicole: sisters, Clara Palm, Brenda Turner, Yolanda Veals and husband Bruce; grandchildren, Denzel Rogan, Cyera Younger, Jayana Crenshaw, Torrick and Tyirrick Tennell, Keyanthony Jeffrey, Shaniya and Shabriya Green; special friends, Barney Blackburn, Jackie Garner and Frank Nutall.




Pallbearers will be Herman Crenshaw, Steven Sweed Jr., Alfred Crenshaw, Bruce Veals, Reginald Crenshaw and Ricky Murphy. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Roy and Reardon Thomopson.






The family extends special thanks and appreciation to all of our relatives, friends, and well-wishers who embraced and surrounded us with care and love during our time of bereavement.
May God continue to shower his many blessings upon you.
