In the York Rite of Freemasonry, he was a past presiding officer of the Navasota York Rite bodies, and of Ivanhoe Commandery, Knights Templar. A 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Houston, he was a past president of the Bluebonnet Scottish Rite Club, a member of the John McGregor Chapter of the Knights of St. Andrew in Brenham, and in 2009 was honored by being invested a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Ruthann; children and spouses Kevin and Lori Goodyke of Howard City, Michigan, Michael and Julia Goodyke of Brenham, Texas, Missy and Brandon Hubert of Riviera, Texas, Timothy and Erin Meadows of Navasota, Texas, and LT Ford and Jennifer Meadows of Austin, Texas and NAF Atsugi, Japan; and grandchildren Austin and Alison Goodyke, Courtney and Brandon Goodyke, Caleb Hubert, and Trace and Molly Meadows. He is also survived by his brother and spouse, Richard and Connie Meadows of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and his sister, Jeanne Stovall of Tyler, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vivien Meadows, and his brother-in-law, Tom Stovall.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Friday by the Rev. Bob Leslie at Memorial Oaks Chapel, followed by Masonic graveside services at Oak Rest Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers are John Fultz, Pete Normand, Tex Maxson, Jeff Nobles, David Keelan and Doug Powell. Honorary pallbearers will include Tracy's Masonic brothers.
