Funeral Home: Callway-Jones Funeral Home
June 22, 1928 - May 17, 2012

Jane Brown passed away peacefully Thursday Morning, May 17th, 2012, at Hospice Brazos Valley after a long battle with lung cancer.
Jane was born June 22, 1928 in Ames, Iowa to Alice Wilcox Fowler and Edward David Fowler. She graduated from Ames High School and attended Iowa State College. She was a laboratory technician and secretary before graduating from beauty school and eventually owning and operating her own shop, The Artisan, for many years. She moved from her beloved Ames, Iowa to College Station 17 years ago and immediately got a job as a greeter at Walmart where many of you will remember her smiling face as you entered the store. She was well known and readily recognized by the many friends she developed during her work. Her friendly, sincere, loving and forthright personality was obvious to the many customers she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Jane is survived by her four children, Linda Fowler Branam, Muncie, IN, David Blake Norris, College Station, TX, Linda Norris Pease, Loveland, CO and Sharon Norris Murphy (Gillette West), Minneapolis, MN. Also surviving are her brother Richard D. Fowler, Omaha, NE, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather and husbands Marvin Norris and Glen Brown.
In her generous spirit she donated her body to science, as did her mother. "To her loved ones she gave all she had". Please view her Book of Memories™ at CallawayJones.com
