Travis Leon Wilson

April 11, 1940 – June 8, 2012





Travis Leon Wilson, 72, of Hilltop Lakes went to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 8, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the Hilltop Lakes Chapel.





Leon was born in Wortham, Texas, on April 11, 1940, to John Monroe and Ruby Lynn Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, W.H. Upon his graduation from Teague High School, Leon served three years in the U.S. Army, then spent the remainder of his working days in finance and sales.





Leon was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be remembered as a loving man with a great sense of humor who worked hard to take care of his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Betty Wilson, as well as his children David Scott and wife April Wilson, Jana Lee and husband Bob Carpenter, Kenneth Shawn and wife Ashley Wilson; his brother, Johnny Lynn and wife Mary Wilson; grandchildren, Tyler, Ryker, Neal, and Harper Wilson and Sam, Ben, and Gracie Carpenter.




In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in memory of Leon Wilson to Christ is Life Ministries of Boerne, Texas, or Hospice Brazos Valley.
