Pastor Cedric Dawayne Goodman, Sr. 41 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in Tomball, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Testament MBC located at 900 E. 29th St. Bryan, Texas. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church located at 4201 State Hwy 6 College Station, Texas with the Rev. James Whiting and Rev. A.C. Clark officiating.





Cedric was born December 9, 1970 in Berkeley California to his parents Reverend Glen Goodman, Sr. and Mrs. Edna White Goodman. Cedric was raised in Oakland, Calif., and attended school at Manor Baptist Christian School, graduating with honors in 1988. He furthered his education by attending Chabot College in Hayward California, where he obtained an Associate Degree in Business. He attend the College of Biblical Studied in Houston, Texas where he was pursuing a bachelor's degree in theology. Pastor Cedric Goodman was married to the love of his life, the former Kristin Michele Dismuke of Oakland, California. The Lord blessed their 20-year union with three beautiful children, Cedric Jr., Taylor, and Isaiah.





Cedric was the Pastor of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church. He was also very involved in the community. He was the President of the Brazos Valley Pastor's and Minister's Fellowship, he was also the President of the Greater Friendship District Association Evangelical period. Cedric truly loved God and people. He was a true family man, Pastor, and Preacher who lived the life he preached about.





Mourning but celebrating his victory in Christ are his devoted and loving wife, Kristin Michele; two sons, Cedric Jr. and Isaiah, and one daughter, Taylor; a loving mother, Edna F. Goodman; mother- in- law, Mattie Dismuke of Oakland, Calif.; two sisters, Monique Goodman and husband Freddie Lopez of College Station, Texas and Glenna Hamilton of Oakland, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Denise and husband, David Gideon; six brothers, Jawon Steptoe of College Station, Texas, Rev. Derrick Goodman and wife Margie and Darryl Goodman, all of Little Rock, Ark., Glen Goodman, Jr. of Oakland, Calif., Erik Goodman, Oakland, Calif., Lawrence B. Hansan of Des Moines, Idaho; three aunts, Lover and husband Rudy Woods of Bryan, Texas, Lula Hollimon of College Station, Texas, and Peggy Lastie of Dallas, Texas; six uncles, Rev. Andrew White and wife, Dorothy of Grand Prairie, Texas, Rev. Robert White and wife, Geraldine of Fort Worth, Texas, Abner White Jr. and wife Susie of Odessa, Texas, Rev. Joseph White and wife Meredith of Lathrop, Calif., Elder Hershel Goodman and wife Othella of Bryan, Texas and Harry Goodman, Sr., College Station, Texas. He also leaves to cherish his of memory, three great-aunts, two great-uncles, three favorite nieces, two favorite nephews, and a host of other nieces and nephews, one great-nephew and many cousins and friends.




He will truly be missed for his wisdom, kind heart and his loving smile.
