Robert L. "Shorty" Nienstedt, 33, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Nobles Funeral Chapel.





Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21 at the chapel with the Rev. Erby Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.





Robert was born in Brenham April 17, 1979, to Robert & Cherie (Jolly) Nienstedt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude Jolly, Robert, Jr. & Estella Nienstedt, and Billy Evans; and great-grandparents, Tony & Irene Sage.





Robert is survived by his parents, Robert and Cherie Nienstedt of Burton; son, Trenton Wayne Nienstedt of Anderson; sisters, Stephanie Nienstedt of Burton, Mariah Bailey of Richards, and Niki Whitman of San Saba; brother & sister-in-law, Jeffrey & Jenni Noto of The Woodlands; grandmothers, Joyce Ann Jolly of Anderson and Frances Evans of North Zulch; niece, Allie Paige Noto of The Woodlands; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.




Pallbearers will be Mike and Pat Jolly of Anderson, Bobby Nienstedt of Navasota, Ronnie Nienstedt of Brenham, Kenneth Nienstedt of Burton, Lance Broesche of Snook, Dirk McCune of Navasota, and Dr. Don Steinbach of Burton. Honorary pallbearers are Sammy Rotello of Navasota, Branden Wickel of Brenham, David Day of Corpus Christi, and Jason Jolly of College Station.
