Betty Lee Kraatz

January 3, 1939 – July 9, 2012




Betty Lee Kraatz, 73, of Bryan, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at St. Joseph Manor in Bryan. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 10 with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.




Betty was born on January 3, 1939 in Bryan to Henry and Katie Gilmore. She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and will be dearly missed.




She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband Jimmie Stone, Sr., second husband Charles Kraatz; son Kenneth Stone; brothers Sam Dicharo, Elmore Gilmore, and Ray Gilmore.




Survivors include her sons Jimmie Stone, Jr. of Quincy IL, Morris Stone of Granbury; daughter Judy Leeper of Bryan; niece Kathy Gilmore of Bryan; brothers Joe Gilmore of Bryan and Ernest Gilmore of Kileen; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.




In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association at 3833 S Texas Ave, Ste 216, Bryan, TX 77802.
