Anuncio "Andy" Botello, 77, of Normangee, passed from this life Thursday August 2, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services are set for 4:30 p.m. Saturday, August 4, in the First Baptist Church in Normangee.




Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday August 3, also in the First Baptist Church in Normangee.




Andy was born March 3, 1935 in Harlingen, Texas to Augustin and Maria Herlinda (Tamez) Botello. He loved to make tamales with his girls and watch his Dallas Cowboys on TV. He always grew a garden and hot peppers were on the top of his list. He was known for his sausage and hot sauce making abilities, but his pinto beans were always a crowd pleaser. Mr. Botello was well loved by his family and community and will be missed by all who knew him.




He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, of 46 years Guadalupe Botello; a daughter, RosaLinda Botello Wren; two sons, Rosendo (Sandy) Botello and Andy Botello, three sisters; and a brother.




Survivors include a son, George and his wife Lisa Botello; three daughters and their spouses, Rachel and Max Relles, Dora and Jim Seelye, and Ida Fletcher and Chris Rankin; three sisters and their husbands Angie and Luis Gutierrez, Lina and Tom Noles, and Nicolasa and Antonio Gonzales; 10 grandsons, 3 granddaughters; 8 great grandsons and three great granddaughters.
