Pedro Guillen, Jr., 69, of Bryan passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.




A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Bryan.




Mr. Guillen was born March 30, 1943 in Madisonville, Texas the son of Pedro Guillen, Sr. and Ramona (Gonzales) Guillen. He was a concrete contractor and owned Guillen Concrete Construction since 1987.




He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Martina Guillen; brothers, Frank "Pancho" Esparsa, Sr., Felipe "Toro" Guillen; and Juan Guillen; sisters, Manuela Rios, Eugenia Carpio, and Frances Martinez.




Survivors include his wife, Mary Guillen; children, Juanita Lozano & husband Gilbert, Cynthia Guillen-DeHoyos & husband David, Pedro Guillen, III & wife Lidia, Lisa Garcia & husband Luis; grandchildren, Priscilla Lozano & Jose Miguel Gonzales, Jr., Gilbert Lozano, Jr. & Nancy Vasquez-Lozano, Destiny Lozano, Jose Pedro DeHoyos, Celeste DeHoyos, Lia Guillen, Lillianna Guillen, Laura Guillen, Lexy Guillen, Aiyanna Garcia, and Alyssa Avery Garcia; sisters, Sally Martinez & husband Macario of Bryan, Janie Reyes of Lubbock, Texas, Modesta Ortiz Bellville, Texas, Basilia Herrera of Bellville, Texas, Natividad Leyva of Bellville, Texas, Angie Luis of San Antonio, Texas, Maria Salazar of Snook, Texas, Lucia Saldivar & her husband Porfirio of Caldwell, Texas, and Lupe Olivas of Colorado City, Texas; brothers, Antonio "Tony" Guillen of Jacksonville, Texas and Lucio Guillen of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.




The Guillen family would like to thank Dr. Ramon Rodriguez and the staff at Scott & White Oncology Department and the staff of Family Home Health and Hospice for the Care and support during Mr. Guillen's battle with cancer.
