Martha R. Barron born January 19, 1928, departed at age 84 on October 8, 2012 in Bryan, Texas under the care of Brazos Valley Hospice after a short-lived struggle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family at her time of death.




The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Hillier Funeral Home, Bryan, Texas.




Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church at 1212 Lucky Street, Bryan, Texas. Services will be officiated by Father Abraham Puentes. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.




She was a homemaker that loved to care for her family and was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, and attending sporting events. She was a huge Texas A&M fan. She survived 13 strong years after the loss of her beloved husband.




Mrs. Barron was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Jessie Barron Sr., her parents, and several siblings.




She is survived by her son, Jessie Barron Jr. and Josie Barron; six daughters, Esther and Joel Herrera, Natalie and Richard DeLeon, Pat Barron and Randall Alaman, Connie Ochoa, Clemencia and James Barker, Felicita and Fernando Anzualda; sisters, Jane Pardo and Toni Ramirez. She has 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.




The family is especially grateful to Brazos Valley Hospice. Donations can be made in her memory to Brazos Valley Hospice.
