Curtis "Buddy" Norman, 93, of Bryan, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at William Courtney State Home in Temple.




Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, October 12, at Jones-Washington Mortuary. Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 13, at Greater Faith Baptist Church with Pastor K. Dawson and Pastor Tommie Sparks officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.




Curtis was born on August 2, 1919 in Somerville, Texas to, Ellen and Patrick Norman. He attended Somerville and Lyons Schools. He was a member and Deacon at The New Liberty Baptist Church. He enjoyed visiting family and friends, attending Church,




Bar-B- Queing, He was a 33 degree Mason, Centerville Association.




He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Norman; two brothers, one sister and other loves ones.




Survivors include his son, James Curtis Garrett; daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Johnnie Cooks, of Bryan, Sharon Bryant of Charlottle, N.C., Jewel Byers of Settle, Wash.; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Miles of Austin; thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
