Barry Brent Swarb, 57, of College Station, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Fort Worth. Barry will be remembered with a private family service and scattering of cremains.




Barry was born March 24, 1955, in Houston, to Therman G. Swarb and Neva Joyce Christian. For most of his adult life, Barry lived in the Brazos Valley, where he owned and operated Best Door and Gate Systems; a family owned and operated company. He was a dedicated business owner and was driven to be a good provider, not only in the business community, but for his family as well.




He enjoyed spending time with family and friends outdoors, especially fishing and being on the water. Barry was known for his smile and his infectious laughter, and everyone who came into contact with him became charmed by his zeal for life. Barry was very proud of his Native American Heritage, and was a member of the Potawatomi Nation of Oklahoma. In 2001, he was baptized, and began his relationship with his Lord Jesus Christ.




In his later years his relationship and walk with the Lord was of great importance. He was loving son, brother, father, and grandfather.




Barry was preceded in death by his Father Therman G. Swarb.




Survivors include his mother, Neva Joyce Swarb; three children, Johnny Swarb and wife Joyce, Mandi Lero and husband Jim, Misty Foster and husband Chad; siblings, Terry Swarb, Gary Swarb and wife Barbie, and Fairy Dawn Ray; grandchildren, Johnny Lee Swarb, Justin Swarb, Jordan Swarb, Ryker Sheets; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many other loving family and friends.
