Funeral Home: Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home
August 13, 1928 - October 29, 2012

On a beautiful October evening, God called one of his angels home. I am sure His greeting was, "Job well done."

Marie Luster Henry passed away peacefully Monday, October 29, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Marie will be interred in a private family graveside service in Hearne at Norwood Cemetery.

She was born in the farming community of Little Mississippi in Robertson County, Texas, on August 13, 1928. Marie was graduated from the Hearne, Texas School System in 1947. She met her future husband in 1946 upon his return from service in the United States Navy in World War II.

She was employed in Hearne until her marriage to Robert Sidney Henry on August 5, 1949. They lived in Houston for the next 63 years. She was a homemaker. Her family and her home were her whole life. She carried the load as long as her health allowed.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Robert Sidney Henry of Houston; daughters and their husbands, Sidney Diane Henry Easley and Paul, of Waco; Susan Marie Henry Warwas and Robert, of Bedford, Texas; Shari Lea McHenry of Calvert, Texas; two grandchildren, George Edward Henry Easley and Virginia Faye Warwas; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Marie's memory be made to Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX, 77030.

Arrangements are entrusted to Heartfield-Ritter Funeral Home, Hearne, Texas.
