José M. Rocha passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012, in College Station, Texas. Prayer of the Holy Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 603 Church Avenue in College Station, with Mass to follow at 10:20 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Bryan, Texas.




José was born in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico. He grew up in Monterrey, Mexico and moved to Galveston, Texas in 1967, where he worked for Galveston Shipbuilding. José recently retired to College Station and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in College Station. He will be remembered for his faith and courage, and his love for family and friends.




He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Maria Josefina Rocha; two sons, José Ricardo Rocha of College Station (granddaughter, Alyssa V. Guadalupe Rocha) and José Enrique Rocha and wife Ann of Galveston (grandsons Marcus Anthony Rocha, Michael Andrew Rocha, Memphis Alexander Rocha, step-granddaughter Eryn Rocha); a daughter, Christina Marie Rocha of Galveston (granddaughter, Anisa Jo Rocha); his mother, Maria Garza of Galveston; a brother, José F. Rocha of Monterrey, Mexico; a sister, Juanita R. Salinas of Galveston; and other beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.




He was preceded in death by his father, José Rocha.




In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Center Building Fund, 603 Church Street, College Station, TX 77840.
