Thurman Witherspoon, Jr., 56, of Franklin, passed away November 11, 2012, in Bryan. Services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at South New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Henry officiating. Interment will follow in North and South Cemetery in Franklin.




Visitation will be from 12 to 6 p.m. Friday, November 16, at Glenn Mack Funeral Home in Hearne.




He was born September 20, 1956 in Franklin to Almeta Henry and Thurman Witherspoon and graduated from Franklin High School.




Survivors include his wife, Frances Witherspoon; sons, Dinnitri Witherspoon, Elvis Witherspoon, Bobby Hawkins and wife Andrea; four daughters, Shayla, Sabrina, & Shevette Whitherspoon and Shanta Gonzales and husband Marlon; mother, Almeta Carroll; brothers, Melvin Witherspoon and wife Tifani, Roosevelet Witherspoon and wife Brenda; sister, Johnnie Witherspon; 15 grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
