On a beautiful sunny day, September 22, 1924 in Caldwell, Texas, the Lord smiled on Fannie and Herbert Carter and blessed them with a handsome baby boy whom they named Henry. Henry was the oldest child of four (4). His loving sister Ruby Carter, brothers Otis and Ollie Carter have all preceded him in death.




A true celebration of Henry Carter's life as a Christian ? Father ? Role Model ? Entrepreneur ? Visionary will be held at Galilee Baptist Church, located at 804 North Logan, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1:00 PM. A viewing of the body will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 at Daniel and Son Funeral Home (401 W. 18th) from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.




Henry departed this life on Saturday, November 10th and leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Ruby Faye Baker and Julia Carter Coleman (Ronnie) of Houston, Texas, four sons, Herbert L. Carter (Dorothy) of Bryan, Robert E. Carter (Charmane), John E. Carter (Carolyn) and James O. Carter (Helen) of Houston, nineteen (19) grandchildren, seventeen (17) great grandchildren, and a small army of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
