Sidney W. Middleton II, 63, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at College Station Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station with Reverend C. McAllister "Mac" Vaughn officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Wayne was born August 28, 1949 in Houston, Texas, the son of Sidney Wayne and Doris (Hicks) Middleton. He served his country in the U.S. Army, retiring as S. Sgt. after 14 years of service. After his retirement from the service, Wayne worked as a car salesman for a Ford Dealership in San Antonio, then moving to Iola and working for Varsity Ford in College Station where he retired in 2002. Wayne loved going camping, fishing, playing computer games, watching football and raising his poodles. But his greatest love was spoiling his grandchildren.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Alice Middleton of Iola; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Tammy Middleton of Ada, Okla., and Stephen Middleton of Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Derek French of College Station, Kim and Andy Bickford of Austin; brother, Glenn R. Middleton of Broadus; six grandchildren, Tyler Middleton, Stephanie Middleton, Kianna Middleton, Chloe French, Megan Bickford and Donald French; one great-grandson, Trenton Middleton.
