Daniel Charles Banks Sr., 77, of Bryan passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, at Jones-Washington Mortuary.




Services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, at New Testament Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Levernice Morgan, I, officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.




Charles was born on September 10, 1935 to Willie Jean Hall and George Banks.




He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. Hall and George Banks; brother, James Banks; three sons, Donald Ray Banks, Daniel Charles Banks, Jr., Nathaniel Carl Banks.




Survivors include his wife, Edna Pearl Banks; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Barbara Banks of Lubbock, Gregory and Cynthia Banks of Dallas, and Terrell Johnson and Reginald Johnson of Bryan; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda McDade of Irving, Rhonda and Kingston Tealer, Irma and Ricky Shaw of Houston, Lisa Johnson, Donna and Hoil Spears, Regina and Joseph Payton, Jennifer and Kevin Smith all of Bryan; sister, Dorothy Smith; thirty-two grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren..
