Daniel Littleton Johnston Salisbury, 88, of Bryan, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 at Lakeshore Village Healthcare Center in Waco. Services are set for 3 p.m. Sunday, December 2, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Bryan with Father David Hoster officiating. Visitation will take place in the Parish Hall following the service.




Daniel was born June 17, 1924, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Hiram Alvin Salisbury and Mary (Johnston) Salisbury. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1950 and was a member of Acacia Fraternity. He served in World War II in the Army-Air Corps. Dan owned a Kwik Kopy Printing franchise in Bryan for 25 years after which he called the business Braxxton Printing and Graphics after his beloved Cocker Spaniel, Sir Braxxton of Aggieland. He also served his church faithfully for many years, singing in the choir, serving on vestry, and the altar guild. He was very proud of being a "cradle Episcopalian." Daniel enjoyed reading and music, especially classical and church music.




Survivors include his beloved wife, Barbara; his daughter, Kay Salisbury Coleman and her husband, Charlie; and step-daughters, Liz Boles Sander and husband, Hans and Brenda Boles Rieger and husband, Ron; grandchildren include Tara Trowbridge, Andrew and Claire Sander, and Christopher and Matthew Rieger; and niece and nephew, Nora and Gene Murphree; and his beloved miniature schnauzer, Kelsey.




In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 405, Bryan, TX 77806.
