Steve was born on May 2, 1974 to Bruce and Penny Koch in St. Louis, Missouri. He played baseball the majority of his younger years and later as an adult, he devoted time to coaching and sharing his love for the game.

Steve married his soul mate, Stephanie, in 2004. He devoted his life to her and their two children, Matthew and Jordan. He was an exceptional cook and grill master. He always loved making people laugh, and helped them focus on the lighter things in life.

Steve was loved by many, and he will be greatly missed by all, and he will forever remain in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Fred and Catherine Koch, Thomas McEwen; and aunts, Jean McEwen and Barbara Koch.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie; son, Matthew Koch of St. Louis; daughters, Jordan Koch of College Station and Anna DeLong of Wiggins, Colorado; parents, Bruce and Penny Koch of St. Louis, Missouri; brother, Douglas and Jenny Koch of Dupo, Illinois; parents-in-law, Bill and Brenda Wooten of College Station; brother-in-law, William and Nova Lee Wooten of Houston; nephew, Ethan Koch; nieces, LeAnne and Marissa Koch, Sarah and Lauren Rayburn; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
