Mr. Thomas S. Berger, 77, of Navasota, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the College Station Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, January 13, at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, January 14, at Christ Our Light Catholic Church with the Rev. Rodolfo "Jojo" L. Cal-Ortiz officiating. Rite of committal will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.




Thomas was born on November 16, 1935, in Anderson, Texas, the son of Andrew Lee and Agnes (Stegent) Berger. He married Katherine Hardwick on August 24, 1957 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson.




Mr. Berger was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Berger, Conrad Berger and Edward Berger; sisters, Helen Berger, Alice Podraza and Martha York




He is survived by wife, Katherine Hardwick Berger of Navasota; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Marsha Berger of Navasota; daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Roger Supack of Caldwell, Denise and Elroy Stolz of Washington, and Alleen and Sam Sledge of Navasota; sisters, Ann Joswiak of Anderson and Lillian Nowak of Tomball; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alfred and Debra Hardwick of Navasota; grandchildren, Leslie Stolz, Wesley Stolz, Holly Supak, Adam Supak, Trey Meekins, Cody and Kristy Berger and Marlee Berger; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Brianna and Elloise.




Serving as pallbearers are Bubba Worbington of Navasota, T.J. Marek of Brenham, Jerry Walkoviak of Anderson, Michael Cooksey of Field Store and Josh Wisnoski of Navasota.
