Glen Dora Fay (Melton) Sexton, age 84, of Anderson, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 18, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. A time for the family to receive friends will be Sunday, January 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 21, at Beacon Baptist Church with Rev. Clinton Everitt, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at College Station Cemetery.




Glen was born in Annona, Texas, to Don Edgar and Eula Vennie (Caddenhead) Melton on July 16, 1927. She lived her life being a mother and wife and in her spare time enjoyed painting and working in pottery. She enjoyed just about anything that allowed her to express her creative side. Glen was active in church and taught Sunday school for many years. She and her husband T. G. Sexton moved to Anderson, Texas from Midland, Texas in November of 2002; they were longtime residents of Lovington New Mexico from 1953 to 1978. They then moved to Midland, Texas and resided there until 2002 when they moved to Anderson, Texas. Her husband T. G. Sexton preceded her in death in 2006. Also preceding her in death in 2008 was a daughter Brenda K. Vanderpool.




Left behind from her passing is a son, Tira and wife Renda Sexton of Anderson, Texas; and a daughter, Regina and husband Mike Barton of Weatherford Texas; as well as five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Randy Melton of Post.
